About the Internship

Our Paid Internships consist of preparing students for the workforce, job training, networking, and interviews for those who are not interested in going to college.

We’re primarily seeking foster students given their disadvantages in accessing resources as well students who live in impoverished communities.

As of now, were accepting 30 students per year that will have the opportunity for a Paid Internship during the summer working with the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP).

Students selected for the internship must attend 2-hr classroom session at Fremont High School every Wednesday from 3:15 – 4:45. The Ed Center along with our partners will provide at least 5 job-skills and job prep workshops in order to assist LADWP in developing a future workforce.

Along with job training, we are providing weekly field trips every Saturday to various locations (e.g., La Kretz Innovation Campus) as well as other potential companies and jobs.
